I won! The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin has awarded me round-trip air travel and a 3-day pass to attend the 10th annual Southwest Symposium where I will study Master Tong's advanced acupuncture and Five Element Theory for Building Nutrition and Wellness. I will integrate this knowledge into my practice to help further your health goals. Kundalini Yoga classes will begin Friday, February 19th! Having studied and lived kundalini yoga for over 25 years, we are fortunate to have Hari Amrit Kaur to teach here in Comox. She will teach a five week series on Fridays at 10:30 AM. Jennifer Strong R.Ac. (Dr.TCM.-Alberta), is a Registered Acupuncturist, practicing acupuncture and Oriental medicine since 1996. She completed her medical training at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, following an undergraduate degree earned at Mills College (an ivy-league women’s college). Jennifer has completed additional training in facial rejuvenation and in advanced acupuncture techniques. As Sheng Zhen chi (qi) gong has proven to be deeply effect in healing on every level, and as it is assessable to beginners, Jennifer continues to study Sheng Zhen. She is authorized by its’ founder, Li Jun Feng, to teach, and so offers classes through the Comox Recreation Centre and at her clinic. Jennifer has served the public and her profession as president of the Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Society of Alberta, chair of the government’s Acupuncture Committee and Acupuncture Program Review Committee, on the government’s Board of Examiners and was a working member of the government’s Acupuncture Transition Steering Committee. Jennifer Strong is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of British Columbia, a current member of the National Sports Acupuncture Association, the National Qi Gong Association, the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong, and is former member of the Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Society of Alberta and the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. | |||||
